I woke up this morning to snow flurries -- the first of the season!!! It seems that over night it was finally really below freezing for the first time, so we get the first good freeze and first snow at the same time :)

I am still sick -- sinus infection and whatever's going around. Tuesday I was about to leave for class when I was sick to my stomach -- not good. So instead of class, we spent two hours at the doctor's office Tuesday morning. I still feel cruddy, but hopefully the meds. will help clear some of this up. Molly has come down with the same stuff and is at the doctor this morning. Blech!

I finished my New Testament paper on Paul this morning and took it to campus -- so that is done. Other than work we can consider ourselves on Thanksgiving vacation!

I just got an email that Beth Stroud and her partner Chris Paige will be at Oberlin College on Monday! Since it is Thanksgiving break, perhaps Molly and I can go. Click here for more information on the event.

Also in email from school was the delightful news that ash trees on campus will also be "eradicated" because they are within a half mile of an ash tree infected by the emerald ash borer. This map shows that both our apartment and campus are in the "eradication zone." Our apartment is in the top circle, and campus is in the bottom one. Now students (via email) are debating the theology of the "eradication." Sigh, poor trees. . . . They haven't cut down all the ashes behind our house yet or across the river behind our house, but I'm sure they'll be back. Bugger!
