I've sent a bit of time reading this site and looking at the pictures:
Writers' Rooms
I enjoyed seeing where these selected writers did their writing and what they had around them, as well as reading what the authors say about their spaces. This seems to be primarily British and Irish writers, but I'd like to see more. In someways, this site reminds me of Patti Perret's The Faces of Fantasy.
It seems like more than a couple of the authors do their writing in red rooms. I don't think I'd like that, but the red seems very womb-like, full of creative energy.
I love the books and nick knacks in their writing rooms. I imagine my perfect writing room: lined with bookshelves and windows, comfy chairs and a large writing surface, significant objects and pictures.
I guess my (secret) dream is to be a writer. This is from the person who mostly cranks out academic papers and little blog entries -- nothing creative or prolific. Oh well. My daydreams are wonderful places.
